I had the good fortune to spend the last 12 years of my professional life as a technical writer at Intel Corporation. Intel offers many benefits to retirees, including a generous stipend to work 1000 hours at a local not-for-profit immediately after retirement. I choose to work at the Ann Richards School Foundation, which supports the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. One of the many foundation perks: my pic in the school yearbook, where all staff members are encouraged to wear hats, the more outrageous the better!
